Policies and Essential Information

  • Registration Policy: After the first two classes of the semester, families should wait to register for classes until the next semester to allow for maximum benefit from the program.
  • Withdrawal Policy: Before the start of classes families can receive a full tuition refund. After the first day of classes, a partial refund may apply and will be considered on a case by case basis.
  • Make-Up Policy: Families are allowed two make-up classes per semester.  If you know you will be missing class, then we would appreciate an email to lovejoymusic@hotmail.com for planning purposes, but it is not required.  We frequently schedule a week of extra make-up/demo classes at the end of each semester. This is a great time to make up a missed class or bring a friend to check out the fun. If space permits, you’re welcome to attend during that week even if you haven't missed a previous class.  If you miss a class during one semester, it isn't possible to schedule your makeup for the next semester. Make-ups must be within your current semester.
  • Weather Closing Policy: We often decide to cancel classes based on the public school status, when the weather is expected to hit, and whether Jaycee Park will be open on that day. In some cases, we may have to cancel classes based on the closure of our host location.  If we cancel: We'll send email and text messages. We'll also post on our Facebook page and this website. If you have any questions or concerns, please call Erin at 252-565-5493 or Stephen at 910-200-1385, and we will update you on the status.  Any time we cancel a class due to weather, we'll add an extra class to the end of the term so you'll still get the same number of classes. We also invite you to schedule a make-up any time we have class in session and you don't feel safe coming to class. We want you to be safe!
  • Sibling Policy: Children 8 months and younger can attend free with a registered sibling.
  • Food/Drink Policy: Please feel free to nurse your child in class, but we ask that you not bring food or drink into the classroom.
  • Class Size: Each class has 6 - 12 registered children plus their caregiver(s).
  • Visitors in class: You're welcome to invite your friends to join us in class - we love sharing this magic experience with friends! We just ask that you send us a quick email, so we can manage class numbers and know who to expect.  Your local friennds and family members with children are welcome for a free one-time visit.  If you have friends or family members with children visiting from out of town, we appreciate at $10 donation to our scholarship fund on their behalf.  Of course, grandparents are welcome any time!  Note: If you're caring for a non-enrolled child, you're welcome to bring them for up to two visits.  If they will be visiting for more than two classes, we request a donation to the scholarship fund on their behalf.  Alternatively, we might consider enrolling children who are frequent visitors.
  • Referral Policy: Remember, if a friend enrolls and mentions your name as a referral, both of you get a $15 discount off your tuition for one semester. The referred family must be a NEW enrollment, not currently or previously enrolled.

All of our classes are currently located at the Jaycee Park Center for Arts and Crafts, 2000 Cedar Ln, Greenville.

Holidays and public school breaks

If our session runs through a national holiday or public school break, we typically have classes as usual.  We do take off for Thanksgiving and other major holidays that might fall on a class day.  If you are unsure if we are having class, then check out our calendar.  If you have an older child who is off from school, they’re welcome to join us in class. (We love to see our “graduates,” who are now in preschool or elementary school!) Please let us know in advance who to expect.


Unless you make an arrangement with us in advance, payment is required prior to the start of classes. We can't guarantee your place in class unless we have a payment or a payment arrangement. We welcome split payments and other financial solutions to help you manage your budget. Please ask!


Love Joy Music respects your privacy and will never share, sell, or rent your personal information with third parties for their promotional use. Your email and mailing addresses will be shared only with our licensor Music Together® LLC for educational and quality assurance purposes.

Music Together LLC sends enrolled families an e-newsletter four times per year. If you prefer not to receive these emails, you may unsubscribe via a link at the bottom of each newsletter. Music Together respects your privacy and will never share or sell your email address to anyone else.

You're welcome to take photos of your child in class (though we prefer that you spend class time engaging with your child!). Please respect the privacy of others in the class. If you plan to take photos that include the group, please check in advance to make sure people are comfortable having themselves or their children photographed. This is especially important if you plan to post these images using social media.
